Sean P. King is a partner with Gess, Gess & Scanlon. From its New Jersey and New York offices, the firm specializes in insurance defense, construction design / defect, and all aspects of civil litigation in additional to a substantial commercial and real estate practice.

With more than 17 years of litigation experience, Sean has represented some of the nation’s largest insurers. He has served as outside counsel at mid-size law firms in New York and earlier as staff counsel for Travelers Property Casualty and Aetna Property & Casualty in Boston. Conducting trials on behalf of both defense and plaintiff clients, Sean has an established record of success trying difficult cases through verdict.

Sean’s main focus is construction litigation – encompassing personal injury, negligent construction, design and defect, collateral property / building damage, contract disputes between general and subcontractors, including indemnification and additional insurance provisions and declaratory judgment actions. His other areas of expertise include the representation of religious organizations in all aspects of civil litigation.
